What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is the only form of permanent hair removal and is more effective than laser. An electrologist places a very thin probe into each hair follicle under the surface of the skin. An electric current moves to the bottom of the follicle, thereby destroying the hair root.
100% Permanent
Electrolysis is better than laser hair removal, because electrolysis targets individual hair follicles to permanently destroy the growth cell. This ensures that your hair will never grow back.
All Skin Tones
Other types of hair removal, like IPL or laser, are limited to light skin tones. Whereas, electrolysis does not target pigment. Therefore it is safe and effective on all skin tones from light to dark.
All Hair Colours
Laser & IPL are only effective on dark hair, since they target the pigment in hair. Electrolysis targets the growth cell and is therefore effective on all hair including blonde, grey and ginger hair.
About
I’m Kate Lovemore, the owner of Lovemore Aesthetics. I am a qualified electrologist, and I perform all the electrolysis and thermocoagulation procedures myself. I have always loved making a difference in people’s lives and didn’t realise what impact electrolysis would have on my clients – from female clients battling with hormonal chin hair, to my transgender clients pursuing reassignment surgery – the transformations are incredible. I look forward to meeting and treating you.

How many treatments will I need?
Hairs that are in the correct growing phase only require one treatment, and will never grow back again. However, all hairs are not in the same phase at any given time. Therefore, multiple treatments are required in order to treat each individual hair that appears.
Hair grows at different rates all over the body. For example, hair on the head grows for a period of about 3 years before falling out, whereas leg hairs only last 12 weeks. This means that it may take 12 weeks for all the hair on the legs to show before they can be treated.
Other factors that affect the number of treatments include: Is the hair hormonal? Has it been previously plucked or waxed? What area of the body requires treatment?
